Transitions from preschool, elementary, middle, and high school provide special opportunities for you and your child’s IEP team to work together to develop a program that supports your child’s evolving needs.
When making these transitions, students with disabilities participate in the same admissions processes as their general education peers. The majority of students with disabilities attend the same Darien public schools they would attend if they did not have a disability.

To celebrate Earth Day and Teacher Appreciation week, we will be planting flowers and decorating flower pots on Monday, April 29 from 3-3:45pm. Students will be making one for themselves and one for a Tokeneke Teacher. Additionally, we will be offering students an opportunity to make bracelets and write cards for their teachers to show their appreciation. Please sign up your student up here.

Dear Incoming Kindergarten Families,
Welcome to our Tokeneke Family!
We are pleased to announce our Incoming Kindergarten “Meet and Greet” sessions. All registered incoming K students are welcome to attend.
Children will have fun meeting some of our Tokeneke Kindergarten teachers, and have an opportunity to do some activities in the classroom. Meanwhile, parents will meet our Tokeneke School Administrators and PTO leaders, ask questions, and learn more about the start of school. Some of our older students will also provide tours to families!
We will have two sessions on May 1st, 2024. Sessions are organized by last name and are as follows:
Last name begins with A-L
8:45-9:15
Last name begins with M-Z
9:30-10:00
