As an inclusive community, the Tokeneke PTO encourages a healthy environment for all students at PTO-sponsored events. We hope the following list will help families with special needs children navigation these events.

Halloween Parade
Our parade will be held outside on our field. When you arrive for the parade please go directly to the field to find a perfect viewing spot, you will not need to come inside to get a visitors badge. We ask you to stand on the inside of the loop and so our children can circle around you. The parade route will be identified with cones and flags on the field. The route: We will start at the kindergarten playground, walk around the baseball diamond, continue to make a large loop and then repeat the loop, before going back inside the school.
For safety reasons please do not allow your child wear a mask or bring in any type of weapon. Please note that dogs are NOT allowed on school property.
- At the beginning of the year room parents ask for 2-3 volunteers to help dress kids in their costumes, consider signing-up for a spot.
- There is no place to sit, so if a guest needs a chair, please bring one.
- Sometimes the grass can be damp, so wear comfortable and appropriate shoes.
- If it gets too hot feel free to seek shade in one of the trees on the field.
- This is a well attended event, but there is plenty of room on the field outside.
- Come early for parking and to find a spot on the field outside.
- Also, the children walk at least two laps, so don’t panic if you miss them on the first lap.
